SEOUL, August 12 (AJU PRESS) - Amid India's concerted efforts to host the 2036 Summer Olympics, Nita Ambani, the wife of India's conglomerate Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, has been spotted at various venues during the Paris Olympics.

The Ambani family is currently the richest in Asia. Nita Ambani is also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

According to reports from AP and the Times of India, Nita Ambani met with India's national athletes who won bronze medals in shooting at the Indian House in Paris. The athletes include two male shooters, Saurabh Chaudhary and Swapnil Kusale, and one female shooter, Manu Bhaker.

Nita Ambani played a key role in promoting Indian culture at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She was instrumental in the inauguration of the Indian House, which showcased Bollywood dance performances and other cultural events.

"India has arrived. It is time that the flame that was first lit in Athens must light the sky in our ancient land Bharat. The day is not far when India will host the Olympic Games. Let this be our collective resolve at the opening of the India House," she said during the India House's opening ceremony on July 17.

At the wedding of her youngest son, Anant Ambani in July, FIFA President Gianni Infantino and several IOC members were invited.

India previously failed in its bid to host the 2032 Summer Olympics. Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi reiterated last year that hosting the Olympics remains a key goal for the country, and India will persist in its bids for the global event.
