Chinese vice president meets with Putin in far east Russia

SEOUL, Sept. 5 (AJP) -Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on Wednesday in a far eastern Russian city of Vladivostok. Han relayed warm greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping to Putin, highlighting the continued high-level operation of China-Russia relations under the leaders' strategic guidance, especially as the countries mark 75 years of diplomatic ties.

Han expressed China's optimism about future cooperation between the two nations. He emphasized China's strong support for the Eastern Economic Forum and its active participation in developing Russia's Far East region. Han stated China's readiness to share development opportunities with Russia, aiming to benefit both populations and promote mutual growth and revitalization.

Putin welcomed Han to the ninth Eastern Economic Forum and reciprocated with cordial greetings to President Xi. He characterized the current state of Russia-China relations as the best in history. Putin emphasized Russia's high regard for bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including economy, trade, culture, and local exchanges. He expressed eagerness to explore new development opportunities with China.

The meeting underscored the ongoing strategic partnership between China and Russia, particularly in regional development and economic cooperation.
