Upon arrival, Li highlighted the robust growth in China-UAE relations over the 40 years since establishing diplomatic ties, noting the strengthening friendship between the two nations.
Li referenced the recent meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in May, which he said provided a new framework for advancing bilateral relations and cooperation.
The Premier emphasized that under the strategic guidance of both countries' leaders, China-UAE relations have seen comprehensive and rapid development. This includes deeper practical cooperation across various fields and increasingly active cultural exchanges.
Li also noted the close communication and coordination between the two countries on multilateral platforms, contributing to regional and global peace, stability, prosperity, and development.
Taking advantage of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Li expressed his intention to engage in detailed discussions with UAE leaders and individuals committed to China-UAE friendship. His aim is to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership and achieve more productive outcomes in various areas of exchange and cooperation.
The UAE visit marks the final leg of Li's four-day Middle East tour, which began in Saudi Arabia. While in Riyadh, Li chaired the Fourth Meeting of the High-Level Chinese-Saudi Joint Committee and conducted an official visit to the country.
