OCI Wins 189 bln Won Polysilicon Order

OCI Co., South Korea’s top polysilicon maker has received a big order worth of 189 billion won (4169 million) from LG Siltron Co., a South Korean company.

The deal OCI co. got is to supply the material used in solar panels by 2018.

OCI’s recent new order is not the first time. Last month it won as much as 1.3 trillion won worth of polysilicon order from China’s Yingli Green Energy, etc.

Back to last December, OCI announced it plans to spend 1.9 trillion won over the next two years to expand its production capacity by 27,000 tons to 62,000.
