Kwak returned home Wednesday after undergoing a second interrogation session which has last more than 14 hours at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office.
Kwak is suspected of giving 200 million won to Park Myoung-gee, a rival candidate from the same liberal groul who quit in the middle of the race.
Presecutors suspect the money was given in return for Park's withdrwal from the election, Yonhap news agency reported Tuesday. According to prosecutors document, Kwak had allegedly promised a total of 700 million won in a secret deal with the college professor.
Kwak consistently denied prosecutors' accusations and said that he wanted to give him some financial favor because Kim had a big moeny problem, say the money he has given is from ‘goodwill’.
