The telephone survey of 800 people conducted by the Economic Reform Research said 65.5 percent of respondents agreed that President Park could not keep her welfare promises without raising taxes.
In particular, 79.2 percent of respondents in their 20s and 81.1 percent of those in their 30s said tax hikes are a prerequisite to the implementation of Park's welfare programs, according to the poll released on Monday.
