A UK woman named Laura Cunliffe (23) did the most appalling abuse any animal lover would be too horrified to hear. She cooked her 4-month-old female kitten alive in her microwave for 5 minutes.
Cunliffe’s defense was that she thought her kitten, Mowgli, killed her goldfish and as a punishment, she microwaved the kitten. Miraculously the kitten was alive after being microwaved for 5 minutes but was in agonizing pain. Cunliffe then took the kitten to her relative’s house but Mowgli died approximately “90 minutes later” according to Brian Orsborn of RSPCA who investigated the case. Cunliffe then arranged for the kitten to be buried so she could cover up the horrendous crime she committed. RSPCA got involved in the process and thought the little kitten’s death had something suspicious. After questioning, Culiffe admitted what she had done.
According to the RSPCA expert, the kitten had “slow and painful death” after having her internal organs cooked.
Later Laura Cunliffe pleaded guilty to her charges and she will be sentenced on March 13.
