Foreign visitors have selected Bamdokkaebi Night Market, a night market featuring a variety of food trucks and cultural attractions, as the most popular site in Seoul, city officials said Friday.

Just as its name states (Bamdokkaebi means goblins which are most active during the night in Korean), the market opens from 6pm until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Visitors can enjoy delicacies and various cultural events while shopping for souvenirs and fresh farm products.

The night market appeared first on a riverside plot in Yeouido. It now lights up various parts of Seoul such as the Cheonggye Square, offering mouth-watering food and fun experience for both locals and foreigners.

Other attractions which are popular among foreigners included shopping in the southern district of Gangnam, partying out in the Hongdae commercial area frequented by young people, and climbing Mount Nam at the heart of Seoul.

Mount Nam can be clearly seen from anywhere in the city and accessible to anyone because it has a cable car linked to the summit. On its summit stands the Seoul Tower which provides a panoramic city view from its observatory. Cultural events take place at its base square.
