ISIS made a threat to U.K. royal family through a messaging app called Telegram. The terrorists said, "Even the royal family will not be left alone." The terrorists posted a photo of four-year-old Prince George outside of his school in Battersea, South London and added the school's address with a comment, "school starts early."
The message included a jihadi song that translates as, "When war comes with the melody of bullets, we descend on disbelief, desiring retaliation."
The world expressed their disbelief and anger on social media after ISIS terrorists targeted a four-year-old Prince George who is third in line to the throne.
Some concerned or angered netizens tweeted: "There are threats to kill Prine George? WTF he's just a child!!!! What is wrong with some people?!" and "These people are beyond evil. Govts have been far too soft and accommodating - zero tolerance is the only answer!"
Also, this brought attention to how the U.K. government has been managing the foreign policy and immigration laws. Many Britons expressed that the government needs to step up to protect its own people and the royal family.
The U.K. suffered many terror attacks for years and the death toll from the ISIS terror attacks has been rising every year.
After the threat, the security of the royal family has been strengthened and British Intelligence has been closely monitoring Telegram, the encrypted messaging app service, to find another potential move of ISIS.
Telegram has been used frequently by many terrorists as the messages get encrypted, making it harder to trace. It has been used to spread ISIS propaganda in 2015 for Paris attacks and to recruit followers.
After the threat, the public outcry and concern have been expressed on social media by the U.K. royal family fans all over the world.
