Many people waited for days in front of stores to be the first ones to get their hands on iPhone X on the launch day. The pre-order began on October 27 but the anticipated shipping dates were ranging from three weeks to six weeks. People who wanted to get them faster and did not mind waiting for days or hours lined up in front of Apple stores globally to get the much anticipated new Apple iPhone.

While many were going through the legal and proper ways to get their hand on the new phones, three thieves wanted to skip lines and to not pay $1000 per phone, so they stole over 300 iPhone X instead on Wednesday. The phones were worth over $370,000 in total.

It is unknown how the thieves gained excess to the delivery dock at the back of Stones Town Mall in San Francisco. A UPS truck was parked outside of the Apple Store when the incident occurred.

According to a witness, the thieves were wearing hoodies and driving a white Dodge van. A janitor managed to take a photo of the thieves and turned it over to San Francisco Police that is investigating the case.

Apple said that there will be no problem in supplying the devices to customers who preordered the device to pick-up in the Stonestown store.

Each iPhone X has a serial number that can be traced so once the stolen phones get turned on, it will be possible to track them all. However, it will be harder to trace the thieves if they don't use one themselves.
