SEOUL -- Religious group raided as part of the investigation into the leader's sexual assault

Police and prosecutors conducted a raid on the Jesus Morning Star (JMS) facility on March 23 as part of their ongoing inquiry into claims that the sect's leader sexually molested female members. The founder of JMS, Jeong Myeong-seok, is currently being tried while in custody on charges of sexually assaulting two foreign-born female followers. Further allegations have also been made that three additional followers were also sexually exploited.

Nighttime tours at Gyeongbok Palace will resume next month

Gyeongbok Palace, a main palace in Seoul, will resume nighttime tourism next month, providing visitors with breathtaking nighttime views of the palace with spring flowers in full bloom.
 
The Joseon Dynasty's (1392–1910) main palace will be open for the usual nightly tour program from April 5 to May 31 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) announced on March 23. All visitors, with the exception of foreigners, must make online reservations for their tickets.

Via acquisition, SsangYong Motors revived as KG Mobility

SsangYong Motor Co. rebranded as KG Mobility on March 22 in order to become a provider of future mobility solutions. In order to focus on the electric vehicle platform, software-defined vehicles, autonomous driving, and artificial intelligence for survival in the face of an intensifying drive toward electrification, SsangYong Motor finalized the name change during a shareholders meeting on March 22.
 
SsangYong's debt repayment arrangements were approved by the Seoul Bankruptcy Court in August after the court selected a local consortium led by chemical-to-steel manufacturer KG Group as the winning bidder to purchase the indebted company in June.

Several cruise missiles are fired by N. Korea toward the East Sea

On March 22, a reliable source said that North Korea launched numerous cruise missiles toward the East Sea. According to the source who asked for anonymity, the launch was observed by South Korea's military from the Hamhung region on the North's eastern coast.
 
The North launched a short-range ballistic missile into the East Sea over the weekend as part of what it described as tactical "nuclear counterattack" operations.
