SEOUL -- South Korea's educational entertainment company Pinkfong will roll out a multi-platform console game based on its Baby Shark content for the first time. The game titled "Baby Shark: Sing & Swim Party" would be available in single-player and multi-player modes for up to four players. Pinkfong's first game content will be provided in 26 different languages including Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, and German.

Pinkfong has garnered worldwide popularity through its Baby Shark content. Baby Shark depicts a story about a family of great white sharks with colorful visuals and a catchy melody. The "Baby Shark Dance" video uploaded in 2016 gained more than 12 billion views as of June 27.

Pinkfong said in a statement that it has collaborated with Outright Games, a Britain-based video game publisher, to produce the game featuring Baby Shark characters. The new game, which is set to be released on September 17, could be played using consoles such as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. A total of seven maps would be provided including a large ocean city and a tropical bay. Without disclosing details, Pinkfong said the content combines rhythmic features.

"We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Outright Games to bring Baby Shark's fun and exciting songs and dance moves to the world of console and PC gaming,” Pinkfong USA CEO Bin Jeong said in a statement on June 26.

"We are delighted to be working with Pinkfong on their first 'Baby Shark' console game and our first project together as licensing partners," said Outright Games CEO Beth Goss. Outright Games has showcased various types of game content using globally recognized intellectual properties made by Sony Pictures Animation, a United States-based animation studio, and DC Comics, a comic book publisher in the U.S.
