SEOUL -- Le Sserafim's mini-album "Easy" is experiencing a surge in popularity among Japanese fans. A total of 72,356 copies of the album were sold in Japan on its release date, setting a new record.

According to the group's agency Source Music, this sales figure was recorded on February 22, marking about a 25 percent increase compared to the first-day sales of the band's previous album, "UNFORGIVEN." Through Easy, the five-member band delves into worries and fears that hide behind its confident demeanor. The album consists of five tracks.

The title track of the album, "Easy," is also gaining popularity among American fans. As of February 22, the dance song received 535,924 streams on Spotify, the world's most popular music streaming service, in the United States alone. This is roughly a 40 percent increase compared to the peak daily streaming record achieved by the group's English song, "Perfect Night." Source Music will roll out the English version of the song "Easy" on February 23.

Le Sserafim is a multinational group with two South Koreans, two Japanese, and one American. Its debut song "Fearless" entered the Billboard chart eight days after its release. Meanwhile, Source Music is set to hold auditions to form a sister band of Le Sserafim. The "2024 Source Music Audition" will take place in six cities in South Korea next month, starting in Seoul on March 2.
