Malaysian university adopts Visang's AI-based Korean learning platform

SEOUL, July 04 (AJU PRESS) - Visang Education, a Korean educational company, said Thursday its artificial intelligence-based Korean-language learning platform has been adopted by the Korean language education center of the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) in Malaysia.

The platform, Master K, includes various smart learning tools, such as virtual classrooms and AI pronunciation tests, to support remote teaching.

The private university in Kuala Lumpur is the first Malaysian education institution to use Master K. The AI platform now expanded to more than half of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) members, including Viet Nam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

"Korean is gaining significant attention across various cultures, and there is a growing enthusiasm among students to learn the language," said Professor Seo Kyu-won of the Korean Language Education Centre at APU.

Visang aims to focus on enhancing advanced Korean language education and education technology-based services in the ASEAN region.

Master K has been exported to Malaysia and 13 other countries, such as the United States, Japan and Kazakhstan, aiming at the global educational technology market. Data from market research firm Grand View Research showed that the global educational technology market is projected to reach $348.4 billion by 2030.

As of 2023, Korean has been chosen as a second foreign language subject in 23 countries and has been included as a subject in college entrance exams in 10 countries, according to the Ministry of Education.
