SEOUL, July 04 (AJU PRESS) - GS Group, South Korea's ninth-largest conglomerate, held an in-house contest this week to encourage employees to harness generative artificial intelligence.

The annual GS Group Hackathon took place at InterContinental Seoul COEX in southern Seoul on Wednesday and Thursday.

Contestants examined issues discovered in their businesses, such as convenience stores, gas stations and construction sites, and developed services or business models using digital solutions. Selected teams will receive support to turn their ideas into reality.

This year's competition was participated in by about 600 employees from its 19 subsidiaries, including GS Caltex, GS Retail, GS E&C and GS Energy.
