SEOUL, July 9 (AJU PRESS) - LG Electronics has renewed its sponsorship of the NFL's Tennessee Titans for three more years, strengthening its connection with the local community where it operates a key home appliance manufacturing facility, the company said Tuesday.

The extension was celebrated at the Titans' training center in Nashville on Monday (local time), attended by LG executives, Titans officials, and former star players. Participants also visited LG's Tennessee factory, joined by local government representatives.

LG plans to enhance community programs with Titans players, including economic revitalization activities and appliance donation campaigns. The company has previously conducted clothing recycling initiatives and donated washer-dryer combos to local schools.

The Tennessee factory, established in 2018, is a state-of-the-art intelligent autonomous facility utilizing artificial intelligence, big data and Internet of Things technologies. It was recognized as a "Lighthouse Factory" by the World Economic Forum in 2023 for its smart manufacturing capabilities.

Jeong Jae-kwang, LG Electronics North America CEO, emphasized the company's commitment to contributing to the local community's development while expanding its position as a premium brand in the U.S. market.

LG's partnership with the Titans, which began in 2021, includes brand advertising at the team's home stadium and various social contribution activities in the Tennessee area.
