SEOUL, August 27 (AJU PRESS) - A recent study found 80 percent of South Korean Generation Z workers use artificial intelligence as their primary resource for work challenges.

This figure is 19 to 25 percentage points higher than in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and France.

The "2024 AI-Preneur Effect" study, conducted by Samsung Electronics across the five countries, also found that 80 percent of South Korean Gen Z workers believe AI can improve work methods, compared to 50 to 60 percent in the other surveyed nations.

Despite 75 percent of respondents reporting stress due to the abundance of AI applications, South Korean young professionals remain the most optimistic about AI's workplace impact among the countries surveyed.

Gen Z side hustlers are the most open to AI, with 73 percent of those with side jobs using AI in their work across all five countries. In South Korea, they primarily use AI for summarizing documents or meetings (46 percent), generating content (37 percent) and researching ideas (36 percent).

The online study surveyed 5,048 individuals, including 1,021 from South Korea.
