SEOUL, November 27 (AJP) - Korean tech startup Studio Meta-K teased a mystical historical drama featuring its virtual artist Suvi at a Las Vegas event designed for K-content targeting overseas investors.

In the trailer for the drama "Grand Master Hani Park," Suvi takes on the role of Hani Park, the main character. While visiting her childhood home, she is seized by a black hand emerging from a Buddhist painting and dragged into the world of legends.

"When the trailer was first released, many people were amazed that it was created by artificial intelligence, and several companies reached out for follow-up meetings," CEO Kim Kwang-jib told AJP on Wednesday. "The series is planned to be made into a 16-episode drama."

Although Suvi stars as the main character in the AI-powered trailer, a human actress will portray the role in the actual series.

The trailer was showcased during the U-KNOCK 2024 in Las Vegas, held on Dec. 6. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, the event saw participation from 11 Korean content firms.

Suvi made her debut in July with the dance single "Suncream." The 22-year-old virtual singer, who stands 170 centimeters tall, is a member of Studio Meta-K's virtual artist group, "Season."
