SingCham Korea hosts gala in Seoul to foster ties with Korea

SEOUL, December 05 (AJP) - The Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Korea (SingCham Korea) held its first gala event, bringing together over 200 distinguished guests from the business, diplomatic, and cultural communities.

The event, held at the Signiel Seoul hotel on Nov. 29, was a night of celebration, collaboration, and reflection on the chamber's achievements and growing role in fostering ties between Singapore and South Korea.

Set against the backdrop of Seoul's city skyline, the gala highlighted a year of accomplishments and partnerships while offering guests a glimpse into SingCham Korea's plans for 2025. Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and South Korea, with the chamber pledging to play a central role in commemorating this milestone.

The evening featured speeches by Singapore's Ambassador to Korea Eric Teo, and SingCham Korea Chairman Justin Yong. "This gala is not just a celebration of our achievements but also a testament to the strong ties between Singapore and Korea," said Yong. Ambassador Teo highlighted the evolving partnership between the two nations since 1975.

Guests were treated to a vibrant program that included performances by Singaporean singer-songwriter Nat Ho and Korea's 1MILLION Dance Studio. As SingCham Korea prepares for 2025, it remains dedicated to strengthening connections and creating opportunities between Singapore and Korea, the chamber said.
