LG is actively recruiting future tech talent, from the Alpha Generation science prodigies to domestic and international master's and doctoral candidates. This generation, born between 2010 and 2024, is characterized by its familiarity with advanced technologies like artificial intelligence (AI).

On May 14, LG held the 'LG Tech Conference' at LG Science Park in Magok, Seoul, inviting STEM talent to participate. Established in 2012, the conference serves as a platform to showcase technological innovation and future vision, inviting outstanding individuals to the heart of LG's research and development.

Rather than merely promoting its products, the event aims to communicate a vision to master's and doctoral candidates that at LG, they can freely explore the future technologies they wish to research.

This year, in addition to the usual invitees from domestic R&D, LG expanded its outreach by inviting 100 gifted students from science high schools and international students to enhance diversity among the talent pool.

In his welcoming remarks, Vice Chairman Kwon Bong-seok emphasized, "LG considers our members, who are the source of customer value creation, as our most important asset. LG will be the strongest supporter for you to fully express your dreams and passions on this stage."

A special session for gifted and science high school students featured a talk by a senior engineer currently active in the field. Lee Hong-rak, co-head of LG AI Research and Chief Scientist, shared his journey from being a science high school student to becoming a global AI expert, inspiring students who aspire to become future scientists.

The conference also included a 'Tech Session' where 31 technology leaders shared their research achievements. Notably, examples of collaborative technological ecosystems, such as the 'Vertical Farm' initiative involving LG Electronics, LG CNS, and Farm Han Nong, drew significant attention for overcoming environmental constraints in crop cultivation.
