President Yoon Directs Full Resource Mobilization After Hanwha Aerospace Explosion

President Yoon Suk Yeol has ordered the mobilization of all available resources for rescue efforts and to manage the aftermath of an explosion at the Hanwha Aerospace facility in Daejeon.

Chief Presidential Spokesperson Kang Yu-jeong announced on June 1 that President Yoon was briefed on the explosion that occurred in a laboratory at the factory located in Daejeon.

Kang added, "The President has instructed a thorough investigation into the cause of the incident and the development of measures to prevent a recurrence in the future."

According to the Fire Agency and other sources, an explosion of unknown origin took place in a laboratory within the defense facility of Hanwha Aerospace in Oesam-dong, Yuseong District, Daejeon.
