Woori Financial Group is stepping up to support vulnerable households as summer approaches.

The Woori Financial Future Foundation announced on June 16 that it held a "Cooling Supplies Donation Ceremony" at the Jungnim Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, on June 15.

This initiative is part of a larger energy support project worth 400 million won, which the foundation is conducting in collaboration with the Seoul Social Welfare Council. Of this amount, 200 million won will be allocated to provide supplies to help 2,527 low-income, energy-vulnerable households in Seoul prepare for the summer heat.

Following the ceremony, foundation staff, along with social workers, visited nearby households to deliver the donated items and assess residents' living conditions. The support supplies include summer blankets, cooling pads, dehumidifiers, and circulators. The foundation plans to distribute these items sequentially, reflecting the needs of each district through the Seoul Social Welfare Council.

Additionally, the Woori Financial Future Foundation is engaged in various social contribution projects, including support for the job ecosystem for individuals with developmental disabilities through the "Goodwill Store" and the "Woori Rookie" program, which assists low-income children and youth with hearing and vision surgeries.

A representative from the Woori Financial Future Foundation stated, "Heat waves can directly burden the health and daily lives of energy-vulnerable households, making proactive support essential. We will continue to carry out community-centered social contribution activities to help vulnerable groups overcome crises."
