Weather Forecast: Highs of 32 Degrees with Possible Thunder Showers

On Wednesday, June 17, many regions are expected to experience daytime temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, with some areas facing increased humidity due to rain showers.
 
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on June 16, the morning low temperatures will be above average, with Seoul at 22 degrees, Daejeon at 20 degrees, and Busan at 21 degrees. Some areas may experience tropical nights, where the temperature remains high overnight.
 
The daytime high is forecasted to reach 32 degrees in Seoul and 31 degrees in Gwangju and Daegu, leading to a sweltering summer heat where even sitting still can cause sweating.
 
The perceived temperature in most regions is expected to rise to around 31 degrees, necessitating caution against heat-related illnesses.
 
In addition to the heat, there are reports of rain showers that may increase discomfort due to humidity. From the afternoon into the night, showers are expected in the metropolitan area, as well as in the inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon, the inland areas of Chungcheong, Jeolla, and western Gyeongsang.
 
The anticipated rainfall across the country is between 5 to 30 mm, while Jeju Island may see sporadic rain of 5 to 20 mm until early morning.
 
These showers may be accompanied by thunder, gusty winds, and even hail in some areas, potentially causing disturbances. Residents are advised to manage facilities and remain vigilant against safety hazards.
 
Additionally, in areas experiencing rain, visibility may decrease sharply, and roads could become slippery, prompting a call for drivers to exercise caution.
