Ottogi is accelerating its overseas business expansion with the establishment of a large-scale automated logistics hub in Ulsan, South Korea.

On June 19, Ottogi announced the completion of the 'Samnam Global Logistics Center' in Ulsan.

The center features an automated warehouse with a total area of 18,400 square feet, spanning five stories above ground and one basement level. It can store up to 9,980 pallets, serving as a key logistics hub to accommodate increasing export volumes.

The facility is designed to streamline the entire logistics process, including receiving, shipping, applying export stickers, and picking for product consolidation and division. Ottogi stated that this design reduces the workflow from receiving to storage and shipping, enhancing processing speed and operational efficiency.

The company has also implemented a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and a Warehouse Control System (WCS) to link logistics information and automation equipment in real-time, allowing for integrated monitoring of center operations and improving accuracy in inventory and shipping processes.

A completion ceremony was held the day before, attended by 55 internal stakeholders, featuring a ribbon-cutting, an overhead door opening ceremony, and an unveiling of the completion plaque.

The opening of this center aligns with Ottogi's strategy for global business expansion. In the first quarter of this year, the company's overseas sales increased by 9.6% compared to the same period last year. The proportion of overseas sales in total revenue also grew from 10.9% in the first quarter of last year to 11.5% this year.

Ottogi has set a goal to achieve 1.1 trillion won in overseas sales by 2030, focusing on expanding its presence in global markets.

The company is also enhancing its overseas sales and production bases. Recently, it established a sales subsidiary in Tokyo, Japan, and plans to begin local operations in the second half of this year. Additionally, it is working on building its first production facility in North America, located in California.

This strategy aims to reduce transportation costs and supply times by connecting domestic export logistics centers with overseas local bases, thereby increasing market responsiveness.

An Ottogi representative stated, "In a growing global demand environment, the Samnam Global Logistics Center will serve as a major hub to enhance our logistics competitiveness based on a state-of-the-art automated supply chain. We will continue to work on establishing an operational system that can reliably respond to increasing export volumes."
