NH Bank announced on June 19 that it will conduct a nationwide initiative called 'Concentrated Support for Rural Labor' from June 10 to 25. This effort aims to highlight the serious issue of labor shortages in agriculture during the busy farming season and to encourage public interest and participation.

During this two-week period, more than 18,000 individuals, including NH Bank employees, members of farmers' wives associations, university students, volunteers, and corporate service groups, will assist farmers across the country.

To address the labor shortage in agriculture, NH Bank is providing various forms of support. One key program is the public seasonal worker initiative, which has assigned 4,729 workers to 130 local NH Banks this year.

Additionally, NH Bank is promoting a voluntary rural labor assistance program for its employees. In collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, the bank continues to provide free agricultural labor through social service participants and the Borami Volunteer Group, and plans to mobilize support for rapid recovery efforts in the event of disasters.

Chairman Kang Ho-dong stated, "June is a time when the demand for labor in agriculture peaks, to the extent that it is said, 'Even a hoe rises to help.' I hope that the small efforts of NH Bank employees can provide significant support to farmers who are facing challenges due to aging, rising labor costs, and abnormal weather conditions."
