The South Korean government has announced plans to provide humanitarian aid to Venezuela, which has been severely affected by recent earthquakes.

On June 26, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated it would allocate approximately $5 million through international organizations.

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), over 7.9 million people, more than 25% of Venezuela's population, are in need of humanitarian assistance due to frequent natural disasters and extreme inflation.

The ministry expressed hope that this support would aid in the recovery of affected areas and help residents return to their normal lives as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Venezuela experienced a series of earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on June 24, resulting in over 200 fatalities and more than 4,000 injuries to date.
