LG Electronics has introduced a new practical training program, 'Let's Grow with LG Electronics,' aimed at job-seeking youth and is now accepting applications for its first cohort.
According to LG Electronics on June 29, this program is part of the 'K-New Deal Academy,' a youth vocational training initiative jointly promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in collaboration with domestic companies. The program offers tailored vocational training that includes practical education and job placement assistance at no cost.
To expand educational opportunities for youth in non-metropolitan areas, the program will be conducted in cities such as Busan, Daegu, and Daejeon. Any youth residing in these regions can apply.
The training curriculum consists of three tracks: smart factory, AI transformation (AX), and digital marketing. The smart factory track focuses on understanding field jobs related to manufacturing processes, automation systems, and equipment operation. The AX track emphasizes data-driven problem definition and AI solutions, providing experience with LG Electronics' business processes. The digital marketing track covers practical skills from content planning to social media management, online advertising, and performance analysis.
The application period runs from June 26 to July 13, with candidates selected through document review and interviews. Eligibility is open to youth aged 15 to 34 who are preparing for employment.
Selected participants will undergo 11 weeks of training starting in August. The program will include both commuting courses at regional training centers and a residential course at the LG Electronics Learning Center in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. A second cohort is scheduled to begin training in November.
All training costs are fully covered, and LG Electronics will also provide support for practical projects, job preparation programs, and portfolio development.
An LG Electronics representative stated, "We will focus on providing project experiences linked to actual work environments to support the growth of practical talent that will lead future industries."
