Weather Forecast: Highs of 33 Degrees with Showers Expected

On Tuesday, June 30, most regions across the country are expected to experience daytime temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, continuing the hot weather trend.

According to Yonhap News and the Korea Meteorological Administration, morning lows are forecasted to range from 16 to 22 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs are expected to be between 23 and 33 degrees Celsius.

The weather agency indicated that high temperatures will persist, particularly in inland areas. However, showers are anticipated in various inland regions starting in the afternoon, which may provide some relief from the heat.

Areas expected to receive rain include eastern Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon, inland areas of Chungcheong, and eastern inland regions of Jeolla, as well as northern and central inland areas of Gyeongsangbuk-do. These regions may also experience gusty winds, thunder, lightning, and hail, necessitating caution for transportation safety.

Expected rainfall amounts are forecasted to be between 5 to 40 millimeters in eastern Seoul, eastern Gyeonggi, and inland Gangwon, while eastern inland areas of Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do, as well as northern and central inland regions of Gyeongsangbuk-do, are expected to receive 5 to 20 millimeters. Sea wave heights are predicted to be calm, measuring 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the East and South Seas, and around 0.5 meters in the West Sea.
