The Korea Financial Services Agency announced on June 30 that individuals can now easily access and apply for financial, employment, and welfare comprehensive support services through the Toss app.

The comprehensive support service allows low-income and vulnerable groups to receive consultations on various challenges, including finance, employment, and welfare, all in one place. Since its full implementation in 2024, the program has connected approximately 130,000 individuals with support systems aimed at achieving economic independence by the end of last year.

Previously, the comprehensive support service was available through in-person consultations at the Integrated Financial Support Center, the 'Financial Connection' app and website, and the 1397 call center. With this new integration, users can now apply conveniently through the Toss app.

Users can find personalized comprehensive support services by selecting the 'Find Government Support for Me' menu in the Toss app. After reviewing the tailored options, they can choose a service that links them to the 'Financial Connection' website, where they can apply for related policy services in employment and welfare.

The Korea Financial Services Agency plans to expand the comprehensive support services in the second half of this year to include public healthcare, retirement, and small business sectors. They will collaborate with the National Medical Center and the National Cancer Center to establish a system for linking medical and healthcare cost support, and they will enhance retirement financial counseling in partnership with the National Pension Service's Retirement Preparation Support Center.

Kim Eun-kyung, head of the Korea Financial Services Agency, stated, "We are continuously improving the comprehensive support services to ensure that vulnerable groups do not fall into support gaps due to economic difficulties. We will also work with relevant agencies to expand linked services in public healthcare, retirement, and small businesses."
