LG Chem is recruiting trainees for its "Let's Grow with LG Chem" program aimed at enhancing practical experience and skills for unemployed youth.

According to industry sources on July 1, the "Let's Grow with LG Chem" program is a hands-on training initiative under the K-New Deal Academy. Designed based on LG Chem's value chain, the program features in-house instructors sharing real-world experiences and AI application cases to help participants develop practical skills applicable in the workplace.

Participants will gain insights into key sectors such as petrochemicals, advanced materials, and biotechnology while learning AI and AX technologies and data-driven problem-solving skills. The curriculum includes hands-on training in digital practices like generative AI, work automation, and data analysis, along with field training at the Yeosu National Industrial Complex and job assignments to prepare a professional portfolio.

The training program offers opportunities to earn coaching certification, DX-based Six Sigma Green Belt, and AX Level 1 qualifications. All graduates will receive an "LG Stand By Me" award, and during the training period, monthly allowances of up to 300,000 won in Osan and 500,000 won in Yeosu will be provided. Accommodations and commuting buses will also be arranged for participants.

Recruitment will be conducted in four sessions, each accommodating 50 participants, totaling 200 trainees annually. Eligible candidates are unemployed youth aged 15 to 34, with military veterans allowed to apply up to age 39. The first session in Osan will accept applications from June 24 to July 15, with training scheduled from August 10 to November 5. The second session will accept applications from June 24 to July 22 and run from August 31 to November 18. The first session in Yeosu will recruit from July 1 to July 22, with training from August 24 to November 13, while the second session will be announced later.

An LG Chem official stated, "This program will provide youth with opportunities to build industry understanding, practical experience, and core competencies, while facilitating communication with industry professionals to clarify their career paths."

Meanwhile, LG Chem recently announced a temporary price reduction for supplies, utilizing government subsidies for naphtha to support small customers and strengthen cooperative relationships.
