SEOUL, July 1 (AJP) - President Lee Jae Myung is set to hold a luncheon meeting with former President Moon Jae-in at Cheong Wa Dae in Seoul on Wednesday.

The meeting is intended to provide Lee with an opportunity to hear Moon's views on state affairs and seek advice on key national issues, according to presidential officials.

Much attention is being paid to what the two are to discuss at their first meeting since Lee took office in June last year, including whether they will address party unity amid internal disputes within the ruling Democratic Party (DP) over its leadership race.

The meeting comes after months of arrangements, with the presidential office saying it had sought to schedule it shortly after Lee's inauguration, but scheduling difficulties on both sides delayed it.

Moon's wife Kim Jung-sook, will not accompany him due to an overseas trip, meaning first lady Kim Hea Kyung is also expected to skip the luncheon.

The luncheon menu reportedly features bibimbap, croaker soup, and braised Korean beef short ribs, among others.

The presidential office said the menu was prepared to welcome Moon back to Cheong Wa Dae after leaving office in May 2022, adding that croaker is one of his favorite seasonal dishes while bibimbap symbolizes harmony and unity.
