Lotte Mart Offers Up to 50% Off Eel and Watermelon for Summer Sale

Lotte Mart is offering discounts of up to 50% on summer foods such as eel, chicken, and watermelon.
 
The company announced that its first "Big Sale Day" of the second half of the year will take place from July 2 to 5.
 
Big Sale Day is a monthly discount event launched by Lotte Mart and Lotte Super this year, focusing on popular fresh and processed food items.
 
Sales during the first half of the year’s Big Sale Days increased by 11% compared to the same period last year. The February event, held ahead of the Lunar New Year, saw sales rise nearly 50% year-on-year.
 
In January, the first month of the regular monthly event, sales during the promotion increased by 30% compared to the previous year, and the number of new customers more than doubled. Lotte Mart aims to develop Big Sale Day into a key event that attracts new customers beyond short-term discounts.
 
This event will feature enhanced discounts on health foods such as eel, abalone, Korean beef, and chicken in anticipation of the summer season.
 
Domestic cleaned freshwater eel will be available for 2,980 won per 100 grams when purchased with the event card. Four pieces of large abalone from Wando will be offered at a 50% discount for 9,600 won. Three types of Korean beef health packs will be sold at half price for L.POINT members, and a new deli product, "Whole Grilled Eel," will be priced at 4,990 won per pack.
 
Health foods will also be discounted. A 900-gram pack of domestic "Big Chicken Stew" will be priced at 5,990 won, while a 1.1-kilogram pack of chicken for soup and its ingredients will be sold for 8,490 won. The "Cooking Island Ginseng Chicken Soup" will be available for 6,990 won, and "Ottogi Noodle Chicken Soup" will be offered to L.POINT members for 5,980 won.
 
A summer fruit promotion will also be available. Customers using the event card will receive a 10,000 won discount on all watermelon purchases. The "Big Watermelon" weighing over 6 kilograms will be sold at a special price of 9,990 won on July 2 and 4.
 
In the meat section, first-grade Korean beef sirloin, stew meat, and bulgogi will be offered at a 50% discount for customers using the event card. Korean beef brisket and grilling cuts will be discounted by 40%, while imported pork cuts, including belly, neck, and ribs, will be available at up to 50% off for L.POINT members.
 
At over 60 locations, including the Junggye and Zeta Plex Jamsil stores, a 300-gram assortment of domestic bluefin tuna will be sold for around 20,000 won. Lotte Mart has secured a supply of bluefin tuna from the East and South coasts, which has been rapidly frozen and priced about 20% lower than imported options.
 
Processed foods and summer snacks are also included in the promotion. Customers purchasing two or more of 29 types of cold noodles or 33 types of large-sized carbonated drinks with the event card will receive a 50% discount. Mixed grain rice, frozen dumplings, and pork cutlets will be part of a buy-one-get-one-free promotion, while 60 popular wines from the first half of the year will be discounted by up to 30%.
 
On the weekend of July 4 and 5, ice cream cones, bars, and sandwiches will be sold at half price when purchasing 10 or more. A selection of 15 snacks from a total of 59 will be available for 9,900 won.
