Naver has launched a 'Weather Safety' page that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to provide weather and disaster information in one place. Users can now access a briefing of weather conditions across the country and quickly find essential safety information during emergencies.

On July 3, Naver announced the permanent operation of the revamped 'Weather Safety' page, which integrates information on natural disasters such as typhoons, heavy rain, and heatwaves.

Previously available only during emergencies, the page has been transformed into a year-round service. It is designed to automatically adjust its layout based on the progression of disaster situations, providing necessary information from normal conditions through to the end of a disaster.

The newly introduced 'National Briefing' feature summarizes current weather conditions across the country and major regions. It categorizes risk levels into four distinct stages, allowing users to quickly grasp the current situation.

By selecting 'National Briefing,' users can also access detailed information such as weather alerts, disaster text messages, and the user-participation service 'Weather Report Talk,' enabling faster responses to disaster situations.

Naver has also enhanced its user-participation service, 'Report Talk.' First launched in 2021, it was upgraded last year to include public disaster safety information such as weather alerts and disaster messages sent within the last hour, strengthening its community function for sharing weather and disaster information.

Kim Hye-jin, leader of Naver's weather service, stated, "Naver will fulfill its role as a national platform by delivering essential information quickly and accurately during emergency situations. In the future, we will expand AI safety reports that analyze risk levels at the neighborhood level and continuously enhance tailored weather services in response to climate change."
