Weather Forecast: Rainy Conditions Across the Country with High Temperatures

On Monday, July 6, cloudy skies and widespread rain are expected across the country. The heat will persist, with perceived temperatures rising to as high as 32 degrees Celsius, particularly in inland areas.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, rain will fall in most regions on July 6. Expected rainfall amounts include 20 to 60 millimeters in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province; 10 to 40 millimeters in the five western islands; 20 to 60 millimeters in inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province; 5 to 20 millimeters along the eastern coast of Gangwon; and 20 to 60 millimeters in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, and Chungbuk. In Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk, rainfall is also expected to be between 20 to 60 millimeters, while inland areas of Gyeongnam and Daegu, as well as Gyeongbuk, may see 5 to 50 millimeters.

Heavy rain of 20 to 30 millimeters per hour is anticipated along the southern coast of Jeonnam and Jeju Island, while other regions may experience rain at around 20 millimeters per hour.

Strong winds and thunderstorms are expected at sea around Jeju Island and the southern coast until July 6, and in the Yellow Sea until July 7, raising concerns about maritime safety.

Despite the rain, high temperatures will continue, with perceived temperatures reaching around 32 degrees Celsius in southern inland areas and around 31 degrees Celsius in other regions.

Forecasted morning low temperatures in major cities are as follows: Seoul 24 degrees, Incheon 23 degrees, Chuncheon 22 degrees, Gangneung 22 degrees, Daejeon 23 degrees, Daegu 23 degrees, Jeonju 23 degrees, Gwangju 23 degrees, Busan 22 degrees, and Jeju 24 degrees.

Expected afternoon high temperatures are: Seoul 30 degrees, Incheon 28 degrees, Chuncheon 31 degrees, Gangneung 27 degrees, Daejeon 29 degrees, Daegu 31 degrees, Jeonju 29 degrees, Gwangju 30 degrees, Busan 28 degrees, and Jeju 30 degrees.

Due to favorable atmospheric dispersion and rainfall, air quality is expected to be at a 'good' level across all regions.
