Former Official Submits Absence Notice to Special Prosecutor, Rescheduled for July 7

Yoo Kyung-ok, a former administrative officer at the presidential office, did not attend a summons from the second special prosecutor team investigating allegations related to the relocation of the presidential residence.

According to legal sources on July 6, Yoo submitted a notice of absence for the scheduled investigation at 10 a.m. However, it is reported that she has expressed her intention to appear on July 7.

The special prosecutor team plans to investigate what role Kim Geon-hee played in securing the construction contract for the relocation project with 21Gram.

Yoo is accused of being involved in the process where 21Gram, the construction company, allegedly provided Kim Geon-hee with gifts, including Dior clothing, during the presidential residence relocation project in 2022.

21Gram is the company that sponsored exhibitions organized by Kobana Contents, which Kim Geon-hee operated, and was responsible for the design and construction of the Kobana Contents office. Allegations have emerged that 21Gram, lacking a general construction license, improperly secured the presidential residence project under Kim's influence.
