Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, is partnering with Seoul City to enhance financial literacy among young people and promote a proper understanding of digital assets. Amid the growing interest in virtual asset investments, the initiative aims to improve overall financial literacy, including asset formation and fraud prevention.

On July 9, Dunamu announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Seoul City at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, to strengthen youth financial capabilities and digital finance education.

Under this agreement, Dunamu and Seoul City plan to develop a 'digital finance education model' that combines Dunamu's educational content on digital assets and future finance with Seoul City's youth policy infrastructure.

The education will cover basic knowledge of digital assets such as Bitcoin and blockchain, as well as topics like fraud prevention related to digital assets, rational consumption habits, various investment methods, stablecoins, and real-world assets (RWA) in the future financial landscape.

Initially, an 'Upclass Education' program will be conducted for young people in Seoul starting in August. Following this, a quiz competition tentatively named 'Youth Financial Golden Bell' will be held to enhance financial understanding among youth, focusing on economic knowledge, financial issues, and the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the financial environment.

Dunamu has been actively providing digital asset education for youth. From last year to the first half of this year, the 'Upclass Youth' campus tour has offered over 2,700 university students opportunities to understand the digital asset market and explore related career paths.

Yoon Seon-joo, Dunamu's Chief Business Innovation Officer, stated, "Establishing the right financial values during youth is crucial for lifelong asset formation. We will support young people in developing the ability to make informed decisions and take action in the complex future financial environment in collaboration with Seoul City."
