The Korea Technology Guarantee Fund announced on July 27 that it held a 'Global K-Venture Innovation Meeting' on July 24 in Silicon Valley, California, at the Startup Venture Campus (SVC).

This event was organized to support the overseas expansion of promising domestic startups in line with the government's global entrepreneurship and venture promotion policies, and to create a field-centered global growth ecosystem.

Attendees included Noh Yong-seok, the acting minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, representatives from Stanford University's accelerator, and the United Korean Founders (UKF). Officials from companies entering Silicon Valley, such as RnR, Witzgen Biotechnology, Buddy Lab, Donghae Hyung, Bestpex, Friendly AI, and Stratio Korea, were also present.

Noh emphasized in his opening remarks, "We will actively support the scale-up of companies entering the global market by strengthening the connection between technology finance and investment. We will enhance communication with ventures and startups in the U.S. and work to create a field-centered global growth ecosystem."

A showcase introducing innovative products from outstanding startups was also held. Prior to the meeting, the showcase featured promising startups selected by Stanford's accelerator and companies partnered with the Korea Technology Guarantee Fund, showcasing various innovative products, including K-beauty and K-food.

Park Joo-sun, executive director of the Korea Technology Guarantee Fund, stated, "This meeting was a meaningful opportunity to establish a collaborative network among local companies, overseas related organizations, and experts in conjunction with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups." He added, "We will continue to strengthen our comprehensive support system that links technology finance with global cooperation networks, actively supporting K-ventures and startups to grow into global companies."
