The first installation is at a 55-pyeong (approximately 1,800 square feet) home occupied by a family of five, featuring the 'LG Thermavie Heat Pump Boiler,' an integrated heat pump system.
In the first half of this year, LG Electronics will handle the installation of 450 units, the largest share of the 1,042 units allocated for Jeju. The company will oversee not only product supply but also on-site installation and after-sales service.

The Thermavie heat pump boiler absorbs heat from the outside air to provide heating and hot water. According to the company, it can produce approximately 4-5 times more thermal energy than the electricity consumed, resulting in energy cost savings of about 40-60% compared to fossil fuel boilers.
The system features an integrated design that combines the outdoor unit and key components, eliminating the need for separate refrigerant piping and allowing the use of existing hot water piping in homes, thereby reducing installation burdens.
