Samsung Life announced on August 6 that it will begin implementing an 'AI Capability Enhancement Training System' for consultants affiliated with its FC Sales Headquarters starting this month.
This training program is designed to respond to the changing insurance sales environment due to the rise of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and to support consultants in effectively utilizing AI during consultations and customer management.
The training consists of five stages: AI Mindset, Understanding and Ethics of AI Tools, Utilizing Internal AI Tools, Utilizing External AI Tools, and Advanced Field Application. It is structured to allow consultants to learn progressively, from basic understanding of AI to practical application in sales environments.
In the internal AI tools training, participants will practice using Samsung Life's internal search tool, 'AI Search.' The external AI tools training will cover various functionalities of generative AI.
The advanced field application course will be offered thematically to consultants who have completed the previous training. It will focus on practical, hands-on training to enable the use of AI in actual consultations and sales processes.
The training will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining online and offline methods. Participants will first acquire basic skills through online training, followed by practical and advanced learning during regional field training and group training sessions.
Starting next year, Samsung Life plans to make this training a mandatory part of the onboarding process for new consultants, ensuring they develop AI utilization skills from the outset.
A Samsung Life representative stated, 'AI is a tool that can enhance both the quality of consultations and work productivity. We aim to strengthen the capabilities of individual consultants and provide differentiated consulting experiences to our clients.'
