Since July 20, Jangheung County has activated an emergency response system for livestock amid the heatwave and has been conducting joint inspections with the Gwangju Metropolitan City.
Additionally, to prevent heat-related damage, the county has allocated a total of 380 million won for four initiatives, including the supply of stress relief products, support for heat prevention facilities, installation of heat-blocking materials on barn roofs, and livestock disaster insurance. Most of these projects are nearing completion.
