Its shares closed 6.99 percent lower at 151,600 won (US$107.14). The decline came despite a 51.15 percent jump in consolidated operating profit from a year earlier to 8.82 billion won ($6.2 million) for the period between April and June, according to its preliminary earnings report released the same day.
Revenue also rose 8.56 percent year on year to 42.51 billion won, while net income jumped 67.24 percent to 6.77 billion won.
KINX provides internet-related services and infrastructure such as internet data centers (IDCs), internet exchanges (IXs), content delivery networks (CDNs) and cloud services, and has been expanding its data center operations in recent years.
Among them is its data center in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, which was built with an investment of about 180 billion won and began operations in late 2024 with a power capacity of 20 megawatts.
KINX has also secured a long-term contract worth 32.13 billion won, running from August 2026 to July 2031, for services that allow customers to install their servers at KINX data centers and use high-speed networks and backup systems.
