Blue House Acknowledges President Lee's Lowest Approval Ratings Amid Housing Concerns

The Blue House stated on August 13 that President Lee Jae-myung's approval ratings have fallen to their lowest level since he took office. In response to a question about the decline in ratings, a Blue House official said, "We are naturally monitoring the approval ratings closely."

The official acknowledged that one of the factors contributing to the drop is the real estate issue, saying, "We are well aware of the public's anxiety and concerns regarding housing stability and the real estate market."

The official added, "Measures were announced today, and discussions are underway, so we will respond with results."

The Blue House also emphasized its commitment to focusing on people's livelihoods and the economy in future governance. The official remarked, "Ultimately, improving the lives of the people and achieving results in livelihoods and the economy will be the fundamental criteria for public evaluation. We will concentrate on these areas."

During the same meeting, President Lee pointed out that the real estate issue is a key factor exacerbating polarization and inequality. He urged the government to integrate supply, tax, and financial policies while focusing its efforts on ensuring housing stability and building a housing ladder.
