The Export Plus Support Team of the Ministry of Finance has established a permanent cooperation channel with South Chungcheong Province to address challenges faced by local exporting companies and provide financial support.

On August 20, the Export Plus Support Team announced that it held a regional export promotion cooperation meeting with South Chungcheong Province at the provincial government office. The meeting aimed to create a permanent cooperation channel to resolve issues faced by local exporting companies in collaboration with both the central and local governments.

Bae Jeong-hoon, deputy head of the Export Plus Support Team, stated, "As the trade environment is rapidly changing, the challenges faced by companies are becoming more complex and diverse. Therefore, it is crucial to respond quickly to the needs of local export sites." He added that the team will continue to establish and expand cooperation channels with local governments, including the South Chungcheong provincial office.

During the meeting, issues related to discovering and certifying overseas buyers, as well as online export support, were raised by the South Chungcheong Export Association.

The support team provided information on regional certification system briefings and real-time issue reporting channels operated in collaboration with organizations such as KOTRA and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. In response to the need for a communication channel for local exporting companies to engage with the support team, a cooperation officer was designated between South Chungcheong Province and the support team.

With this collaboration, the number of metropolitan local governments that have established permanent cooperation channels with the support team has increased to five, including Gyeonggi Province, Jeju Province, North Chungcheong Province, North Jeolla Province, and South Chungcheong Province. The support team plans to complete the establishment of cooperation channels with nine provincial-level local governments by the end of this year, aiming to support local exporting companies to become a driving force for growth in the 5G and 3D sectors.

On the same day, the support team also held a briefing on export finance programs for local exporting companies at the Daejeon Trade Center. This session was designed to assist local companies facing difficulties in obtaining information related to export finance or utilizing actual financial support programs.

Deputy Head Bae emphasized, "It is important for policy finance institutions to lower barriers and reach out directly to local exporting companies," and stated that the team will continue to hold regional export finance program briefings throughout the year.
