Samsung SDS has outlined its corporate AI transformation (AX) strategy aimed at translating artificial intelligence (AI) implementation into tangible business results. The company plans to support the entire AX process, from redesigning customer workflows to on-site application, by leveraging a 'Multi-Dimensional AI Full Stack' that combines industry expertise with consulting, implementation, and operational capabilities.

On September 8, Samsung SDS held the 'REAL Summit 2026' at the COEX Convention Center in Seoul. The company presented a concrete execution strategy and roadmap to bridge the gap between AI adoption and actual business outcomes based on its 'Multi-Dimensional AI Full Stack' strategy.

In his keynote address, CEO Lee Jun-hee stated, "AX represents a fundamental change that goes beyond merely implementing AI to save time and costs. It involves completely redesigning business and work processes from the ground up." He emphasized that companies achieving AX will act proactively, responding in real-time rather than merely analyzing the market and reacting.

Lee also cited data from global market research firm McKinsey, noting, "There remains a gap between AI adoption and business performance. While 88% of companies have implemented AI in at least one area, only 6% report that AI significantly contributes to their profits."

He identified seven key elements for successful AX: 1) Process Re-Design to align with AI-human collaboration, 2) AI-Ready Data for effective data management, 3) Efficient operation of multiple AI agents (Agent Ops), 4) Establishing policies and controls for AI behavior (AI Governance), 5) AI Security, 6) AI-Friendly Organization, and 7) Cultural change within the company (People & Culture).

Samsung SDS is implementing these AX core elements internally through its 'Client Zero' strategy, which focuses on applying and validating AX outcomes across seven major internal processes, including development, procurement, quality, management support, business execution, marketing, and sales. The company aims to continuously validate AX results in real work environments and apply the accumulated know-how to client sites.

Additionally, Samsung SDS is enhancing its on-site 'FDE (Full Deployment Engineer)' capabilities to address issues and drive results immediately at customer locations.

Samsung SDS plans to expand its AX-specialized FDE workforce to over 200 by the end of the year, collaborating closely with companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Accenture to solve business challenges and rapidly implement AX results.

During the REAL Summit, Samsung SDS outlined its strategy to provide optimal AX solutions tailored to each customer through its 'Multi-Dimensional AI Full Stack.' This stack integrates AI infrastructure, platforms, and solutions with end-to-end capabilities in consulting, development, implementation, and operations, combined with industry-specific expertise.

Lee emphasized, "A true AI full stack must provide not only consulting to assist in AX execution but also specialized capabilities in development, implementation, and operations. This requires a deep understanding of the customer's business."

Samsung SDS is broadening its collaborations with leading global AI companies. Currently, it is building a global AI ecosystem encompassing AI models, platforms, infrastructure, solutions, and security in partnership with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cloud, NVIDIA, and Accenture.

Notably, in July, Samsung SDS established a strategic partnership with Anthropic in San Francisco to support domestic companies' AX initiatives, marking the first such agreement in South Korea. The two companies plan to jointly explore new AX business opportunities by combining their technological strengths and business expertise.

Furthermore, Samsung SDS has provided consulting for the introduction of 'ChatGPT Enterprise' to multiple clients based on its partnership with OpenAI, becoming the first domestic company to do so. The company is participating as a pilot partner in OpenAI's 'Daybreak Partner Program,' which will enable it to leverage OpenAI's next-generation frontier models to offer comprehensive AI security services, including automatic detection, validation, and patch solutions for client security vulnerabilities.
