It recently supplied two firefighting vehicles built on its flagship MAXEN heavy-duty truck platform to Hanoi's Fire and Rescue Police Authority.
They can be operated remotely to approach dangerous fire sites, break through walls or other structures and spray water directly at the source of a fire.
Operating the vehicles from a distance can reduce firefighters' exposure to hazardous conditions.
Special-purpose vehicle maker Jinwoo SMC handled the firefighting equipment conversion. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in October 2025 to jointly develop fire engines and other specialty vehicles and expand into overseas markets.
Tata Daewoo plans to use the latest delivery to expand its fire truck lineup in Viet Nam, including pump trucks, ladder trucks and chemical fire engines.
It will also strengthen maintenance support and improve access to spare parts in northern Viet Nam.
"The export of MAXEN-based remote-controlled firefighting vehicles is a meaningful step in showing the strength of our specialty vehicle technology and Korean-made fire trucks in overseas markets," a spokesman of Tata Daewoo Mobility said.
"We will continue working with specialty vehicle partners and strengthen our sales, maintenance and parts network to expand our presence in Viet Nam and other Southeast Asian markets."
