The G-Star Organizing Committee has unveiled key programs for the upcoming 'International Game Exhibition G-Star 2026' set to take place in November.

On September 29, the committee announced detailed plans for the event, including the layout of the BEXCO Exhibition Halls 1 and 2, a lineup of major global game titles, official esports tournaments, additional speakers for conferences, and online promotions.

The 'G-Star Global Game Showcase' will feature major titles from global companies such as NetEase Games, Sega, Koei Tecmo, and CD Projekt Red. The event will also include a revamped business-to-business (B2B) exhibition focused on networking, an indie showcase, and the official Overwatch esports tournament for the Asia region, held at the BEXCO auditorium.

G-Star 2026 aims to enhance the experience for attendees by providing key demonstration content and side events that can be directly experienced on-site, thanks to collaborations with global partners. A committee representative stated, "We will create a global game festival that satisfies both the industry and users through efficient exhibition layout design, a network-focused business infrastructure, and programs that expand the physical and virtual experience."

To assist attendees and participating companies, the committee has released the layout of the BEXCO Business-to-Consumer (BTC) Exhibition Halls 1 and 2.

The first exhibition hall will feature six large spaces, each with over 100 booths, maximizing the available area. Major sponsors, including Crack, Krafton, HoYoverse, Google Play, Webzen, and Team 42, will participate with large booths exceeding 100 in total.

The first floor of the BEXCO second exhibition hall will serve as a special exhibition space for major titles from global game companies. This year will see the debut of the 'G-Star Global Game Showcase' and a special stage for on-site programs.

Koei Tecmo Games will present exclusive experiences for 'Wolong 2: Wings of Ember' and 'Atelier of Karia: Night Kingdom and Memory Milestones.' Team Ninja will also showcase gameplay for the challenging action RPG 'Nioh 3.' Sega will debut the strategy game 'Total War: Warhammer 40,000' in South Korea, which won the 'Best PC Game' award at Gamescom and is set for release in 2027. Other titles in the lineup include 'Crazy Taxi: World Tour' and 'Football Manager 27.'

NetEase Games has confirmed the participation of 'Remnant's Sea' in the first exhibition hall and will also set up a dedicated brand area in the second hall, featuring 'Once Human' and the open-world martial arts action-adventure RPG 'Yunwon.' CD Projekt Red will showcase an interactive experience space featuring its flagship intellectual properties (IPs), 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' and 'Cyberpunk 2077.'

The G-Star Organizing Committee's own planned content, 'G-Star Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy,' will also be prominently featured in the second exhibition hall. This year's indie showcase will consist of a total of 250 booths, with 106 indie game developers from both domestic and international backgrounds participating, including developers, publishers, and global engine and platform companies.

The G-Star 2026 B2B exhibition hall will undergo a phased transformation to align with the changing trends of global game exhibitions. The focus will shift towards creating a practical business hub centered on networking while maintaining the existing booth-based exhibition format. The key aspect of this transformation is to gradually enhance the frequency and density of meetings within a 'network-enhancing space.'

G-CON 2026, themed 'Narrative,' has also announced additional speakers and sessions. Shoji Kawamori, director of the 'Macross' series, and Kim Yong-ha, head of Nexon Games' IO division, will participate in discussions. David Merwick from 'Little Nightmares,' Carrie Shao from 'Pacific Drive,' and Greg Kasavin and Darren Korb from 'Hades' will discuss emotional immersion in games.

Pearl Abyss's An Geun-tae, head of Art Level, and Yoon Jin-ho, head of game engine graphics, will share their development experiences. The small roundtable 'Salon de G' will feature additional leaders, including Ariadna Martinez and Joanna Wang from 'Ghost of Yotey,' Cecil Kim from 'SKY: Children of the Light,' and David Merwick from 'Little Nightmares.'

Ticket sales for general attendees will begin on September 29. The organizing committee plans to operate this year's G-Star on a 100% pre-sale basis to ensure the safety and comfort of visitors.
