According to the Life Insurance Association, Fubon Hyundai Life's new contracts for individual protection insurance reached 696.1 billion won in the first half of this year, a 16.5% increase from 597.3 billion won during the same period last year.

This growth is attributed to a restructured product portfolio focused on protection insurance and an expansion of sales channels. The insurance contract margin (CSM) from new contracts in the first half was 70.3 billion won, up approximately 37% from 51.2 billion won in the first half of last year.

If this trend continues, the annual new contract amount for protection insurance is expected to exceed last year's total of 1.3061 trillion won. Based on this, the company's net profit for the first half of this year was 158.6 billion won, marking a return to profitability.

Capital soundness also remained stable. As of the end of June, Fubon Hyundai Life's solvency ratio was 211.2%, maintaining over 200% for three consecutive quarters. The basic capital K-ICS ratio stood at 132.4%, well above the Financial Supervisory Service's recommended level of 50%.

A Fubon Hyundai Life official stated, “We are enhancing our competitiveness in the insurance business through a strengthened product portfolio centered on protection insurance and diversification of sales channels. We aim to solidify our long-term growth foundation by expanding profitable new contracts and maintaining stable capital management.”
