Dunamu engaged with domestic and international digital asset policy and regulatory officials to discuss the future of digital finance.

On September 30, Dunamu announced the successful conclusion of the 'Upbit Institutional Summit (UIS)' held at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

The event featured Patrick Wooten, Executive Director of the U.S. White House Presidential Digital Asset Advisory Committee, and Jonathan Hurowitz, Special Advisor at the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Digital Asset Policy, along with regulatory officials from major Asian countries and representatives from the finance and digital asset sectors.

Key topics included changes in U.S. digital asset policy, stablecoins, tokenization, institutional investor participation, on-chain finance, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain.

During a session focused on U.S. policy direction, Patrick Wooten engaged in a discussion with Yoon Sun-joo, Chief Brand Impact Officer of Dunamu. Wooten explained the U.S. digital asset policy, legislative market structure, and the future role of digital assets in the financial system.

He stated, "Digital assets and traditional finance will ultimately merge, becoming part of a single financial system." Regarding the establishment of a digital asset framework in South Korea, he noted, "This is an important opportunity to create appropriate regulations."

Discussions also covered stablecoins and market structure regulations. Former CFTC Commissioner Brian Quintenz and former Deputy Director of the White House Digital Asset Advisory Committee Harry Zheng addressed changes in the stablecoin market following the Genius Act and regulatory directions centered around the Clarity Act.

The potential for digital assets to expand into institutional finance was another major topic. Former Acting CFTC Chair Caroline Pham and Johan Kerbrat, Senior Vice President and Head of Crypto and Global Business at Robinhood, discussed the conditions necessary for tokenized assets to progress to actual issuance and distribution stages.

Regulatory environments in major Asian countries were also presented. Officials from Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK), Malaysia's Securities Commission (SC), and Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) shared insights on their respective digital asset markets and regulatory directions, discussing the balance between investor protection and market expansion.

A session focused on the on-chain transition of domestic financial institutions included participants from Hana Financial Group, Samsung Financial Networks, Hanwha Investment & Securities, and Dunamu. The potential for enhancing efficiency and scalability in finance by connecting existing financial infrastructure in banking, payments, and capital markets to on-chain systems was discussed.

Dunamu CEO Oh Kyung-seok emphasized the potential of 'K-Finance' to connect technology and finance, based on South Korea's high digital utilization and market participation. He also outlined the company's plans for global business expansion and the advancement of blockchain infrastructure.

Oh stated, "There has been extensive discussion on how the financial market and industry will change following the institutionalization of the digital asset market. We will work to create a new financial infrastructure and ecosystem that connects digital assets with traditional finance."
