The Korean track cycling team won bronze medals in both the men's and women's team pursuit events at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

The women's team, consisting of Kim Min-jung, Jang Su-ji (both from Sangju City Hall), Noh Yoon-seo (Daegu City Hall), and Shin Ji-eun (Geumsan County Hall), secured third place by defeating Uzbekistan in the bronze medal match held on September 30 at the Izu Velodrome in Shizuoka, Japan.

In the team pursuit, two teams of four cyclists start simultaneously from opposite sides of the velodrome and race over 4 kilometers. The winner is determined by either overtaking the opposing team or comparing the times of the third cyclist to cross the finish line.

After being eliminated in the first round by China, the women's team rebounded in the bronze medal match, overtaking Uzbekistan at the 1,750-meter mark and finishing the race before the completion of the distance.

This marks the first time the Korean women's team pursuit has returned to the Asian Games podium since winning gold at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Games.

Shin Ji-eun, who previously earned a bronze medal in the women's individual time trial, added her second bronze medal of the competition.

In the men's team pursuit bronze medal match that followed, the Korean team, featuring Park Sang-hoon (Incheon City Hall), Hong Seung-min (Uijeongbu City Hall), Kim Hyun-seok (Yeoncheon County Hall), and Min Kyung-ho (Seoul City Hall), also triumphed, defeating Kazakhstan.

The men's team crossed the finish line with a time of 3:55.933, beating Kazakhstan (3:58.718) by 2.785 seconds. At the 3,375-meter mark, they trailed Kazakhstan by 1.312 seconds based on the third cyclist's time. However, they narrowed the gap to just 0.030 seconds at the 3,500-meter mark and ultimately succeeded in overtaking their opponents.

This achievement marks the second consecutive bronze medal for the men's team, following their success at the 2022 Hangzhou Games held in 2023.

With two bronze medals in the team pursuit events, the Korean cycling team has now earned a total of three medals (two in track cycling and one in road cycling) at this competition.
