Doosan Enerbility has completed the production of a gas turbine for the U.S. artificial intelligence company SpaceXAI, marking its first entry into the American gas turbine market.
On October 6, Doosan Enerbility held a shipping ceremony for the 380MW gas turbine (DGT6-300H) at its headquarters in Changwon, which will be exported to SpaceXAI.
About 70 attendees, including key officials from SpaceXAI and Son Seung-woo, head of Doosan Enerbility's Power Services BG, participated in the event. They toured the gas turbine shipping and production site and discussed future expansion plans for the gas turbine business.
This gas turbine will be utilized in energy infrastructure projects that SpaceXAI is pursuing in the United States. Doosan Enerbility aims to expand its business opportunities with this shipment, having met the technical specifications required by global big tech companies.
Since last year, Doosan Enerbility has actively pursued gas turbine orders in the U.S. market. In October 2022, it signed a contract to supply two 380MW gas turbines to a major U.S. tech company, followed by an additional three units in December of the same year. In March 2023, it secured a contract to supply seven more 380MW gas turbines to a U.S. firm.
